Note: Before you follow any of the below instructions, we recommend navigating to https://accounts.google.com, and logging out of any other Google accounts you may already own.

Hawks account Password Reset (only if you forgot your password!):

If these steps do not work, please speak with Admissions for assistance.  admissions@hawks.huntingdon.edu

  1. Navigate to https://accounts.google.com/signin/v2/recoveryidentifier?flowName=GlifWebSignIn&flowEntry=AccountRecovery
  2. Type in your@hawks.huntingdon.edu account
  3. Click Next
  4. Click Try another way
  5. It should let you type in your recovery phone number (will show you the last 2 digits of that phone number)
  6. Click Send
  7. Fill in the Code that you got texted
  8. Create a new password and enter it twice
  9. Click Next

Set up 2FA for your Hawks account:

  1. Check if 2FA is on by navigating to https://mail.google.com and logging in with your Hawks account.  If you get a warning that you don't have access to mail, please follow the remaining steps.  Otherwise, congratulations, you are done with setting up 2FA and this portion of the instructions!
  2. Login to your Hawks Account at https://accounts.google.com (don't worry, it may say you don't have access to email - this is correct for now.)
  3. Click the Hawks symbol in the top right corner.
  4. Click Manage your Google Account.
  5. Click Security on the left side of the screen.
  6. Scroll to Signing in to Google and click 2-Step Verification
  7. Click Get Started
  8. Enter your password and click Next
  9. Enter your phone number
  10. Opt to have a code texted to you that you have to enter when you go to log in.
  11. Click Next
  12. Enter the Verification Code sent to your phone
  13. Click Turn On
  14. If you are a deposited student, once 2FA is turned on, please log out, wait an hour, and log back in at https://mail.google.com.  You should then have access to email.

Navigating Websites

  • Once you are logged in to your HC Google Account, you should be able to access some of the websites we utilize.
  • To get to these websites, you will click the 9 dots (waffle) at the top right of the screen and scroll down.
  • You will see options for:Campus Café (where you will see classes, final grades, etc.), Cayzu (our ticketing system if you have any issues), Canvas(where you will see classes, assignments, notifications from instructors, etc.), and Zoom (instructors may use this during classes or for advising purposes).
  • By navigating to the websites this way, you will automatically be logged in.
  • Note that you will not have a Canvas account until 1 week before school starts.
