Prospective Students: Logging In and Turning on 2FA in your Huntingdon College Account

Log into your Huntingdon account for the first time:

  1. Navigate to https://accounts.google.com.
  2. If any other Google Accounts are logged in: Click the circle at the top right and click Sign out.
  3. Choose Use another account, or start typing your Huntingdon College username in. (Note: If you have an account ending in @guest.huntingdon.edu, your account is for login purposes only at this time, and will not have email service.)
  4. Type in your Password.
  5. Create a new password and type it in both boxes to confirm it.
  6. Click Change password.
  7. Click UPDATE to set up your recovery email and phone number.
  8. Enter any verification codes Google sends you to confirm your recovery information.
  9. Click Done.

 

Set up 2FA for your Huntingdon account:

  1. Check if 2FA is on by navigating to https://mail.google.com and logging in with your Huntingdon account.  If you get a warning that you don't have access to mail, please follow the remaining steps.  Otherwise, congratulations, you are done with setting up 2FA and this portion of the instructions!
  2. Login to your Huntingdon Account at https://accounts.google.com (don't worry, it may say you don't have access to email - this is correct for now.)
  3. Click the Hawks symbol in the top right corner.
  4. Click Manage your Google Account.
  5. Click Security on the left side of the screen.
  6. Scroll to Signing in to Google and click 2-Step Verification
  7. Click Get Started
  8. Enter your password and click Next
  9. Enter your phone number
  10. Opt to have a code texted to you that you have to enter when you go to log in.
  11. Click Next
  12. Enter the Verification Code sent to your phone
  13. Click Turn On
  14. If your account ends in @guest.huntingdon.edu, you will not have email access, but 2FA will be enabled.
    If your account ends in @hawks.huntingdon.edu, once 2FA is turned on, please log outwait an hour, and log back in at https://mail.google.com.  You should then have access to email.

 

Huntingdon Account Password Reset (only if you forgot your password!):

If these steps do not work, please speak with Admissions for assistance.  admissions@hawks.huntingdon.edu

  1. Navigate to https://accounts.google.com/signin/v2/recoveryidentifier?flowName=GlifWebSignIn&flowEntry=AccountRecovery
  2. Type in your Huntingdon college account
  3. Click Next
  4. Click Try another way
  5. It should let you type in your recovery phone number (will show you the last 2 digits of that phone number)
  6. Click Send
  7. Fill in the Code that you got texted
  8. Create a new password and enter it twice
  9. Click Next
